Protocol / connection-first communication

Silence, until you say otherwise.

Center2Center has no inbox to flood. Nothing reaches you unless you created the connection it travels on — and you pay only for the conversations you actually have.

The three laws

01

Silence is the default state.

An address anyone can write to is an address everyone will write to. Email spent thirty years proving it. In Center2Center an unknown sender doesn't land in a folder, a filter, or a quarantine — there is simply no edge for their message to travel on. Silence isn't a setting. It's the physics of the network.

02

Consent creates the edge.

Two centers agree. Keys are exchanged. A channel comes into existence that no third party can enter, read, or borrow. Every connection is a deliberate ceremony — locked, drawn, settled, confirmed — and the map of your network is the map of your consent.

03

You pay for conversations, not noise.

Metered bytes, thread storage, graph compute. No seat licenses, no per-user tiers, no spam subsidy — because spam cannot exist here to be subsidized. Your bill is a mirror of your actual communication, with renewal rules you define yourself.

The visual model

Touching is not talking.

The map draws a hard line between context and permission. Circles that drift close share something — mutual contacts, overlapping work. Only an explicit edge lets a single byte move.

Proximity shared context · no permission
Connection explicit edge · encrypted thread

The ceremony

A connection is made deliberately, or not at all.

  1. 01 · lock

Both circles hold still. Intent is mutual before anything is drawn.

  2. 02 · draw

A thin line of light traces itself between the two centers.

  3. 03 · settle

The line thickens into a solid, glowing interconnect. Keys are sealed.

  4. 04 · pulse

Both circles flash once — the channel is live and encrypted end to end.

Usage wallet

Your bill is a mirror, not a subscription.

Deposit once. Watch it move only when you do. Set your own renewal rules — a monthly top-up, an auto-refill threshold, or a hard cap where the network simply pauses until you decide otherwise.

Who it's for first

Built for people whose conversations are the product.

Consultants, small agencies, solo operators — firms that bill for their attention and need a clean, trusted record of every client thread. They invite their clients in, and the network grows one trusted circle at a time. No committee required. No cold start.

Under the surface

Secure by relationship, not by inbox rules.

protocol

Rust · Tokio · PostgreSQL. Open relays, peer-to-peer federation, self-hostable — no lock-in by design.

identity

Self-sovereign cryptographic keys. Your address is a public-key hash — did:c2c:… — with no registry to squat.

security

The permission graph is the access control. Every thread end-to-end encrypted with libsodium.

bridge

Your existing email becomes the on-ramp: verified against your graph, signed on the way out, retired at your pace.
